Play is an important part of arts. This is because in play children are engaged, they are communicating, organising and are making sense of their world. They are also playing for a purpose, that can be to have fun, to discover and to reach a goal. Play is a place for learning through which, children are engaging actively with people and objects. Additionally, most importantly, play is very natural for children and children are curious. Their curiosity leads to their learning.

· Creating social groups
· Challenging one another’s thinking
· Creating new understandings
· Reduce stress and increases copying skills
· Feel secure, feel healed, understood
· Create the power of wander.

So why is art important. It is important because it is a natural activity that promotes free play. It is important because it allows children to explore and experiment in a natural and unstructured way. It allows children to learn freely.
